Boat Trip in Aqaba: Red Sea, Lunch and Swimming (2026 Prices)

Updated on October 23, 2026

In Aqaba, three formats share the boat trips: the 2-hour glass-bottom boat (about 33 USD, with snorkelling and access to a paid beach), the 4-hour snorkelling trip with buffet (from 88 USD) and the 2-hour sunset trip (from 24 USD). A private boat for 6 people costs from 336 USD. Prices found on platforms in October 2026; they are not official and what is included (lunch, transfer) changes from one listing to another. For diving, see diving and snorkelling in Aqaba; for the rest of the town, Aqaba.

Practical info

Tips

  • Compare what is included: glass-bottom boat with snorkelling and a day on a paid beach (2 hours, about 33 USD); 4-hour snorkelling trip with buffet (about 88 USD, hotel pickup according to the listing); sunset trip with a meal (2 hours, about 24 USD); private boat with snorkelling and lunch (1.5 hours, about 336 USD for 6 people); private luxury cruise (3 hours, from 1,760 USD for 8 people). Prices are per person unless stated otherwise.
  • Reviews are mixed: some praise the clear water, the turtles and the buffet, others regret unguided snorkelling or a boat designed for divers. Ask whether there is a guide in the water and whether the return to the hotel is included.
  • Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and water. Avoid booking on your last day if your flight or transfer is tight: the time can change the day before.
  • To combine with the desert, see Wadi Rum and which tour and camp to choose. To sleep: where to stay in Jordan.

How to get there

Departures are in Aqaba, mostly at Ayla marina; some packages offer a free shuttle from the town centre or a hotel pickup. Aqaba is about 4 hours from Amman and 1 hour from Wadi Rum. See Aqaba.
