Day 2: Petra

Arrive at opening. From 2 October 2026 to 1 March 2027, the site opens from 6:30 to 17:00. The basic route: the Siq, the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the royal tombs. If you have the energy: the Monastery, about 800 steps. Details in how to visit Petra. In the evening, Petra by Night (30 JD, Sunday to Thursday) is an option.

Finish in Aqaba if you leave from Aqaba airport, or go back to Amman (about 4 hours from Wadi Rum) for a flight the next day. To sleep in the desert, see the bubble camp.
