Dead Sea: Which Hotel Day Pass to Choose (Prices, Beach, Spa)

Updated on October 23, 2026

A day pass gives you access to the beach, pools and showers of a Dead Sea resort for a day, without staying at the hotel. Prices range from 20 JOD to 75 JOD per adult depending on the hotel, the day of the week and what is included: lunch, towel, spa, spending voucher. The price alone tells you nothing: look at the meal, the beach and the facilities. Prices come from a 2025 guide and 2026 offers, to be confirmed at reception; they go up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. For swimming and precautions, see the Dead Sea.

Not every resort has the same beach: some have direct access to the water with parasols and showers, others are separated from the sea by a path or a shuttle. Ask before you pay.

Practical info

Tips

  • Day passes compared: O Beach Dead Sea Resort, about 20 JOD (lunch extra, about 10 JOD; towel and locker extra); Grand East Resort and Spa, about 25 JOD with buffet; Holiday Inn Resort, about 30 JOD (4 pools, beach, towel), 40 JOD with buffet; Crowne Plaza, about 45 JOD with buffet (June 2026 offers between 35 and 55 JOD depending on the day); Mövenpick Resort and Spa, about 45 JOD on weekdays and 55 JOD at weekends, with a 15 JOD food credit according to a guide, spa at 65 to 75 JOD; Marriott Resort and Spa, about 75 JOD, sold only Sunday to Wednesday, with a 25 JOD voucher. The Kempinski does not sell day passes.
  • For most travellers, mid-range with a buffet (about 40 to 45 JOD) is the right balance: beach, pools, meal. The cheapest resort is enough if you only want to float; luxury is only worth it for the spa and the calm.
  • Outside a resort: the public beach of Amman Beach, about 20 to 25 JOD according to visitors, with little equipment; free access to the shore exists but with no shower, lifeguard or towel.
  • Book or call ahead on a Friday and in high season (October to April); on weekdays you can usually buy at reception. Bring dinars in cash, as card payments sometimes cause problems. Bring swimwear, flip-flops, sunscreen and a change of clothes; check whether the resort serves alcohol.
  • The day pass is not included in the Jordan Pass. For a night on site, see where to stay in Jordan.

How to get there

The resorts are about 45 minutes to 1 hour from Amman. A Jett bus (about 10 JOD one way according to a recent guide) drops you in the resort area, but not at O Beach, which is further away: take a taxi instead (about 40 to 70 JOD for the day, with waiting time). See Amman and car rental.
