Ma'in Hot Springs (Hammamat Ma'in): Waterfalls, Price, Spa and Tips
The Ma'in hot springs are hot waterfalls (37 to 43 °C according to one tour) that fall from a cliff above the Dead Sea, about 1 h 15 by road from Amman. Part is public and part is a hotel spa: the Evason Ma'in resort lists its public waterfalls as open 9 am to 9 pm, with the early morning hours reserved for hotel guests. The entry fees found are undated (about 15 USD for the public site, about 54 USD for the spa without a treatment): confirm before you go. The information comes from hotel listings and tour listings checked in October 2026.

Practical info
Tips
- There are two experiences: the public area and the hotel spa. The resort's spa lists an entry fee of about 54 USD without a treatment (undated source), with the whole day included if you book a treatment; the public area is reported at about 15 USD by an older source, cheaper for Jordanians. No official rate was found: call the resort before you come.
- Several recent reviews describe the public baths as crowded and poorly maintained; if you want comfort, choose the hotel spa or come early in the morning. One visitor says they had the spring to themselves for an hour on arriving at opening time.
- Bring a towel, swimwear and bath sandals: not everything is provided. Covering swimwear suits the public area better. Avoid the hottest hours of summer: the water is very hot.
- On a tour from Amman expect 42 to 117 USD per person (6 to 9 hours, often with the Dead Sea). For the most-booked excursion: Dead Sea and panorama, from 42 USD. See also the Dead Sea, the hotel day pass and Madaba.
- Do not confuse with the Dead Sea Panorama complex at Ma'in, which is a viewpoint.
How to get there
The springs are about 58 km from Amman and 37 km from Madaba according to one tour (about 1 h 15 by car from Amman). By taxi, negotiate a return trip with waiting; by car, see car rental. Also from Madaba. If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car for the day.
